SS Atlantic Monument Map

History

The SS Atlantic Monument in Terence Bay commemorates the 1873 shipwreck of the SS Atlantic, one of the worst maritime disasters before the Titanic. More than 550 lives were lost when the steamship struck rocks near Halifax’s coast.
